Bzzzzz

Here are a few pics of a painting I created last fall for my son Henry to hang in his room. He seems to really like it and refers to it by making a buzz sound. Its certainly cuter when he does it rather than me trying to describe it.

Calexico Sasquatch! Festival Poster

Just recently finished up this collaboration with Keith Neltner for Calexico's show at this years Sasquatch! Festival. These are a 3 color screenprint with an edition of only 30 and will be available after the show. I plan on taking a few pics and posting here shortly.

SXSW

Well it has certainly been quite a while since Halloween. Too long. It's been a busy start at to the year with a lot of projects in the works and hopefully a long overdue redesign of the site. One of the first projects I had the opportunity to work on is this poster for SXSW I created along with Keith Neltner as part of the The Small Print Studios. These are a six color screenprint edition of 150 available at SXSW only. I have a few sketches I plan on posting here shortly to show our process...hopefully I'll get around to it before Halloween.

Henry and I did a little pumpkin carving this week with a little help from mom as we prepare for his first Halloween tomorrow. He's gonna be a golfer. I think he was more interested in putting the pumpkins in his mouth than the pumpkins themselves.

The Mighty

Has it really been since August I last posted? Pretty weak I'd say. Anyways, heres a poster for the band The Mighty I created for their show happening in a couple of weeks at the Northside Tavern.

Birdie

Here is a painting I recently created as part of a larger project I worked on with the creative team at Intrinzic. This was used as an rfp and the eye was a place holder for a dvd of our work at Intrinzic. Thanks to Mr. Neltner for the photos. Pretty fun project!

Friends of Gentry Benefit Show

I teamed up with Keith Neltner to create this poster for the Friends of Gentry Aubrey Benefit show tomorrow night at the Southgate House. These will be for sale at the show with all the money going to the FOGA scholarship fund. A special thanks to Mike Amann for printing these and allowing me to pull a few myself. We did three on wood as well. I'll post those pics soon.

Day Trip to the Zoo

We took ole Henry on a little trip to the zoo a week or so ago. I think he was more interested in the leaves on the trees than the animals, but we had a great time. I always forget how nice the Cincinnati Zoo is. This year they've brought back the giraffes and you supposedly are able to feed them, although that wasn't the case for us. Oh well, maybe next time.
